The Retail Therapy Diaries: The Highest Highs and Lowest Lows

Are you tired of always wearing the same old mini skirt? Or maybe you've gotten over the fuss of maxi skirts. In either case, high-low skirts can solve your trend rut. With the best of both worlds, high-low skirts give you the look of a mini skirt with a longer back adding an unexpected twist to an outfit. Great for adding some flair at night, these unique skirts can make an ordinary evening outfit ultra glamourous. Because these skirts are statement pieces in themselves, you don't want to distract from the piece with tons of accessories. To prevent tops and bottoms from competing, you can pair the skirt with a simple cut top in a neutral shade or save yourself the trouble with a high-low dress. I've tried on a few styles so far but haven't found one that is particularly flattering. I think this trend would work well for the taller fashionista, but that being said I think with a shorter style our vertically challenged fashion friends can also join in on the fun! However like most trends, they seem to come and go much faster than we can keep track of them.
